It is a cemetery with the busts of many revolutionaries.
The busts with a large flag cut in red granite in the background
rise high on the top of Jujak Peak of the Taesong Mountains.
A panoramic view of Pyongyang is overlooked.
The cemetery was enlarged in Juche 74(1985). It is composed
of a red granite flag, busts, a hero medal carved pedestal
for placing floral tributes and four subsidiary group sculptures.
It occupies an area of 30 hectares. It is 1,400m in height
and 22m in length. The hero medal is 4.3m long and 2.5m
wide. The number of granite stairs is up to 350 from the
gate to the memorial pillars.
