The Korean Folk Village is a living museum
that recreates the lfestyle of several centuries ago. Only
40 minutes away from Seoul by bus, this village features
potters, weavers, blacksmiths and other artisans who practice
trades in traditional fashion. There are also 240 traditional
homes and a small amphitheatre for music and folk dances.
In the center of the community is the market place where
visitors can sample food and wine.
The village was erected in 1973 and now include
68 exhibitions of the Yi Dynasty lifestyle. Outdoor entertainment
features the farmer's dance and acrobatics, a traditional
wedding or funeral service.
