The tall stone building which dominates the square is not
a church, it is the Old Town Hall (1371-1404). In the Summer
you can climb to the top of it's tower for a breathtaking
view of Tallinn.
The climb is not for the weak hearted! Atop the tower is
Vana Toomas (Old Thomas) the weather vain who has guarded
Tallinn ever since 1530. Beneath the Town Hall is another
hall displaying Estonian handicrafts.
