Kamnik is a historical Slovene town. Somewhere in 1229,
the town was a prosperous cosmopolitan town. This litle
city with many ruins of the Little and Old Castle has a
history of its own.
Once, the town is known for its legendary bewitched Countess
Veronika who is half serpent and half girl. It was thought
that the Countess guarded 'the hidden treasures', near the
Little Castle.
Besides the interesting history and culture features, Kamnik
is also an excellent ski resort. The Kamnik Alps is perfect
for mountaineering and skiing.
