The 19 century Rococo residence of the Ottoman sultans,
and the place where Ataturk died in 1938. Beautifully situated,
with a 600 meter frontage on the Bosphorus, an impressive
ballroom, and ornate Victorian furniure embodying the Turkish
assimilation of Europe culture.
Visitors are admitted in groups, leb by the museum's guides.
Try to go early in the morning as it may be fully booked
later in the day. The palace is open to visitors from 09:00-16:00,
and is closed on Monday and Thursdays.
