75km/47 miles west of Katoomba, 1 hour by car. The interior
of the caves feature many overlapping limestone crags and
columns and underground lakes, creating a fantasy world.
The Jenolan Caves consists of 9 caves, each individually
named. Cave House near the caves provide meals and accomodation.
Visits to the caves are at specified times by guided tour.
Each tour of a cave takes approximately 1 and a half hours.
Caves tours operate 9.30am to 4.30pm daily. Group tours
must be pre-booked. Adventure Caving tours are available
from specialist tour operators.
