Kuta, in addition to being the most famous Sunset Site with
its daily spectacular sunsets, it is also the center of
night life activities in Southern Bali and a shopping mecca,
with its lines of shops, boutiques, and galleries.
The beach of Kuta is one of the first favorite beaches
discovered by tourists. On the south, the beach is fenced
by the airport's runway, which gives you a breathtaking
landing experience. The beach stretches as far north as
the eyes can see. A short walk away north, waves will invite
you to test your surfing skill.
Getting There and Moving Around
By air
There are inbound and outbound flights to Kuta from Sumatera,
Java and other cities.
By sea
Bali connects to other cities, Java and Sumatera with the
ferry services provided in Denpasar.
By road
Buses are the main form of inter- city transportation.
They range from slow, crowded, ordinary public buses to
convenient, quick and comfortable luxury services.
Small minibuses cover shorter routes, backroads and inner-city
destinations. Like the buses, they range from pack-'em-in
sweatboxes to a good network of door-to-door minibuses.
Cars, motorbikes and bicycles can be rented, you'll need
tremendous patience and concentration to drive on Java's
busy main roads from Kuta.
Moving Around
The availability of various transportation mode in Kuta
is a convenience of the visitors to move around the captivating
city.
