These are steamed, string hoppers served with a curry. Best
for breakfast with piping hot coffee or tea.

Roti Canai
Roti Canai is a kind of pancake prepared with wheat flour,
eggs, ghee or butter. It is eaten with meat or chicken curry
and sometimes with dalcha (vegetable curry). Best eaten hot,
it is a perennial favourite served at most road-side stalls.

Nasi Goreng
This is white rice cooked with anchovies, prawns and chilies.
A fried egg sunny side up is usually added.

Thosai
This is a shallow, fried pancake, thin and slightly sourish.
Originating from the of South India, thosai is a versatile
item which can be eaten at any time of the day or night.
Thosai is usually accompanied with some kind of dry vegetables
curry or a gravy. If eaten at breakfast, a hot coffee or tea
is recommended.

Chicken Rice
There are several variations of chicken rice but the most
popular kind is the Hainanese chicken rice. The chicken is
moist and tender. Served with rice which have been cooked
in chicken stock. The dish is livened up with garlic/chilli
sauce, cucumber slices and coriander leaves.

Steamboat
Diners sit round a table which has a soup tureen in the middle
of the table. A fire below keeps it boiling hot. You place
prepared raw pieces of prawns, chicken, quails' eggs, sea
cucumber and liver in the boiling soup.

Noodles served in a soup with prawn dumplings and roast pork.

Curry Laksa
Noodle dish served in curry. Pieces of boiled chicken, cockles,
taufoo and bean sprouts are added to the dish.
