National Dance Theatre Company's Season of Dance
Little Theatre, July 16 - August 22, 2000
Jamaica's internationally celebrated dance company. Creative dancing exploring traditional and modern dance forms. The season will also feature the NDTC singers who are an integral part of the company.

 

The Denbigh Agricultural Show
Denbigh Show Ground, May Pen, July 30 - August 1, 2000
Annual exhibiition of farm produce from farmers across Jamaica. Unusual layout and display of products also animals on show.

 

Negril Carnival
Negril, July 30 - August 1, 2000
Float parade, concerts, soca party, mento band competition, Jamaica Police Band, old time Jamaica tea meeting, Jonkanoo and gerreh dancing. A cultural event not to be missed.

 

Gran' Market / August Fair
Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre, Kingston, July 30 - August 2, 2000
An array of indigenous Jamaican craft and food on sale, and a number of cultural presentations.

 

Reggae Sumfest
Catherine Hall, Montego Bay, August 1- 7, 2000
Annual reggae music festival held in Montego Bay for the seventh consecutive year. The four-day event features top local and international reggae artists.

 

Jamaica Independence Day Parade
Kings House, Kingston, August 6, 2000
Gala parade of costumed and uniformed groups. Traditional Jonkanoo dancers as well as modern dancers showcasing a cross section of Jamaican culture.

 

17th Annual National Black Deaf Advocates Conference
Wyndham Rose Hall, Montego Bay, August 10 - 15, 2000

Hi Pro Family Polo Tournament & International Horse Show Juniors Polo Tournament
